QT Halo causing stuck mic

I tried emailing Phil at Quiet Technologies, but it's been over a week now, and nothing... I think he's a one man show, so I'm trying to give him some slack, but in the mean time, I thought I'd see if anybody else has seen this. When I plug the mic into the panel jack, there is an immediate stuck mic. I've been able to replicate it across different airplanes, so I'm pretty sure I've isolated it to the headset. Has anybody else seen this behavior?

If it moves with the headset, as you say, it would likely be a short in the plug or cable. Check for continuity between the tip (PTT) and base (ground) of the .210" plug.

The insides are incredibly simple. Pop it open and put eyeballs (and a DMM) on the other end of the wires too.
