Default RV-8 roll bar/windscreen fairing edge

Hi, I've been working on the fairing around the windscreen off and on for quite some time, and the last thing to really finish is the aft edge that overlaps the canopy and canopy fairing.

I made mine really strong with some layers of fiberglass and carbon fiber. I'm happy with the way it turned out, and no worries about anyone leaning on it to get in or out of the aircraft. It is solid.

The question I have is about the very edge - do any of you fiberglass gurus have any tips, tricks, or hints on how to do that? I've currently got mine just sanded to a rounded shape of about 1/8" thick. Thanks!
