Default Aircraft Sheet Metal Instructors Needed

Middle Georgia Technical College
Warner Robins, Georgia
www.middlegatech.edu

Full and Part Time
The college is located near Robins AFB, Boeing - Macon, and TIMCO. Plus, there are three other colleges within 50 miles that teach Aircraft Structural Technology (AST). This is a good place to gain employment in aviation, mostly driven by RAFB, but makes it difficult to find good instructors.
Experience with blueprints, sealants, composites, tech data, and sheet metal preferred. Teaching experience is good, too.
I have been there 5 years and can't imagine doing anything else. State pay, and holidays are pretty good, plus this is a great family and aviation friendly area.
Contact me if you wish: bsacks05@cox.net, 478-213-2555, or through VAF

The college is walking distance (bout 1/2 mile) from Robins Airpark (5A2). You could fly to work!

Default What is an Avionics Tech Paid

I am currently working as an avionics tech in the Richmond VA area making $20/hour. Since I am not an A&P I either work on Light Sport aircraft or have someone sign off my work on certificated aircraft. I have an EE degree and a good deal of hands-on experience with the installation, integration and testing of the full range of modern avionics; Garmin 900s, AFS, Dynon, Comms, Xpdrs, etc.

I am going to be moving to Northern VA (near Washington DC) soon and am scheduling interviews with the various avionics shops in the area. Question, what is a reasonable salary expectation?

Thanks,
Ray
