Modifying Panel Ribs for 10" Display

I am going to install the 10" Garmin G3X Touch in my -7. Problem is, the ribs that connect behind the panel are perfectly centered where I want to install the display. So, obviously, I have to cut them out and install some type of different mounting ribs, but how do I do it? I am sure a lot of you had the same problem. What was your solution? Can you post some pics of behind the panel to help give me some direction?

BTW, its a tip up, and the issue I am having is shown in these photos (stolen from another builders' website)

I moved the left panel support rib over a few inches to make room. Cut the rib off flush with the sub panel then add an angle to the old rib and remount.

Like Walt sez... cut em off flush, add a piece of angle and put em where you need em.

I have moved mine with each panel upgrade. They never have been in the stock location.

I left it in place but cut it down to about an inch high to use the lower mount screw only.

I then fabricated a support tube, tapped #8 at each end and mounted it to the left of the big screen.

Seems to be solid enough, but if on a -6 the sub-panel might need a stiffener angle. The -7s seem to be much stronger in this area.

Thanks everyone for the quick responses! Sorry for the late reply, I have been out of country. Those pics are exactly what I was looking for!
