did you use the HR plans steel fuselage jig, or modify an RV-X jig to those dimensions? Any concerns with using a wood jig (left over from a few rv projects).

The Jig's up...

James,
I've seen both iterations. My former HR2 was built during the Rocket heyday of the early 90's in a wooden jig by the Bakersfield bunch. The Jig had several Rocket's to it's credit! I have also helped an HR2 builder who had a Frey modified Steel Jig. Either works...:)
Nice to know someone is still building HR2's out there...

HR2 Fuselage Jig

Don't think it's much help, but I built my own based on a frame table I built long ago for race car chassis. The frame is 2x4x.120 rectangular steel tube with leveling feet on the legs and the cross bars are 1x2x.18 aluminum channel doweled and screwed in place. Way overkill but it worked great.

Make that two hr2 getting built yet. Im nearing completion of my wings and was think about using my old chassis jig good to know it works well
