Fuel dip tube values?

I think this is what your looking for. I think you have to calibrate it yourself for each specific airplane/tank. I dont think the numbers will translate to another airplane. To calibrate is easy. After emptying the tank(s) you refill the tank(s) in increments and take readings on the fuel dipstick as you fill.

I did this with my airplane. Once it is correctly calibrated it is very accurate.

RV4 tanks

I use the dip tube in an RV4 and just add '5' to the value for total gallons. In other words, the tube reads 10.5 when it is full ~ 15.5 gals. Pretty close.

Make sure you use the same location for the bottom of the tube each time. There is a flange on the outboard bottom of the tank that makes a good reference.
