Tip up canopy seal

Does anybody use any type of seal or something to cover the gap between the front canopy and the back glass where it meets at the roll bar?
 
My -6 tip up has a strip of metal that covers the seam. I then used the fuzzy side of sticky back velcro to make a nice seal.

After completing the canopy I made a targa strip. Protect everything with one layer of packing tape. Lay up the targa strip in place and let cure. remove strip, trim to size and adhere it to the main canopy Put in a few rivets for security. It is tight fitting and needs no seal. It also hides any imperfect alignment between the two pieces of plexi.
