RV-7A final wing install timing

Team,
I have accomplished the initial wing fitting/hole drill/sweep set, then returned the wings to their cradle. I am now nearing completion of my engine mount, baffles, and cowling.

The question: When do you recommend I go ahead and final-mount the wings to the fuselage?

Wheel pants, canopy, paint.

Some things you could do before mounting the wings. Although all could be done with the wings in place, these are easier without having the wings in the way.

On my 7A the wings were the last item to be mounted. You have put them on and taken them off again, as the plans indicate. I called Vans and ask if I could put them on only one time, at the end of the build, they said sure. That is what I did and it worked out great. However, I put the wheel pants and etc on after the put on the wings. Happy building, a great plane. You will love to fly her.
