I installed the Nose Job and new faring on my RV-6a and do not like how the opening is sealed. There are two pieces of sheet metal sandwiched from the front to back that rub the faring. I was thinking about replacing the sheet metal with a piece or rubber or something more flexible. Or at least cut the sheet Mattel back a bit and add the rubber to close the gap? I do not have a faring at where the cowl meets the nose gear faring. Should I cut the sheet metal back and add that faring?
