There are many formation clinics held around the country through the year, and although a clinic is the fastest and best way to become profficient at formation flying, many pilots cannot justify the time and effort needed to get to a clinic (especially if they are not sure formation is something they want to spent their time on). So, if you are local to the DFW area, our open practice is a great way to get a feel for what formation is really like without the commitment of a clinic.

To fly formation with us you must have an RV 4, 6, 7 or 8 with functioning dual controls and no vernier throttle. We will start flying at about 0900 and finish a little after lunch. There is a nice restaurant at LNC, so if nothing else, come out, have lunch, and watch. If you decide you like formation enough to attend a clinic, there will still be time to sign up for Pine Bluff.
