Slider Canopy Rear Fiberglass Skirt Question

Hi,

Been lurking and finally getting started on a RV6 project. I purchased this project approximately 18 months ago from the original builder. The quality of workmanship is top notch and now I am trying to not foul it up.

I have elected to go with a fiberglass skirt sikaflexed to the canopy. My skirt is roughly 3/16 thick and I was wondering is most people taper the edges of the skirt. Especially the leading edges.

I rounded the edges of mine for aerodynamic reasons and to keep the edges from chipping. You can look at the canopy section of my website link below.

Mine is also rounded but mostly due to the fact that I laid it up on the canopy versus making it separate and bonding.
