Engine/nose gear weldment installation

MS19087

Well Known Member
Installing the engine mount weldment on my QB 9A today. The QB firewall has 4 large pilot holes drilled on the four corners to accommodate the mount. After enlarging these pilot holes to the required 3/8" only 3 of the 4 line up readily - one (bottom rt) is off slightly. Is there a way I should finess this in place? The mount seems very rigid and not easily distorted. Any suggestions?Should I enlarge this hole? Or is my weldment just off a bit . . . Thanks!!

Most have used the engine mount to match drill the holes initially. This corrects any misalignment. If you didn't take this approach you may be out of luck at this point. It just depends on how far off that one hole is.
