Very Interesting...

interesting, but

It is interesting, but don?t count on it. Have not yet read the study, but I review similar studies all the time. Clinically, near (or distance) visual acuity is said to improve after doing whatever.

After preparing a long response on focusing ability, magnification, and blur interpretation, I deleted my notes to keep it simple:

Situational awareness, perhaps. But any improvement in the ability to focus is expected to be minor and temporary. Before there were glasses for near or distance, people had no choice but to guess. And of course, with practice, guessing becomes more reliable. Known as blur interpretation.

To those inclined, get the app. Spend the time. Fly. Look at blurry instruments and guess. Put on your reading glasses.
