F-1275G Cover Plates question

Page 35-06 step 3 requires to rivet the two small cover plates F-1275G to the fuselage skins.
I hesitate to do that step, because I think it would be much easier, if those cover plates could be removed for inspection of the main gear attach bolts, brackets and wear plates.
If riveted on, the only access is through the little maintenance hole.

How do judge that?
Is there no access issue when servicing all that main gear attach stuff incl. brake line fittings with the cover plates riveted in place?
Did anybody come up with a nutplate solution for those plates, or are my worries simply unfounded?

The combination of the small (3/8"?) access holes, which allow a 1/4" socket extension, and the adjacent removable cover plates makes things a little awkward, but workable for installing/torquing everthing, IMHO.
