FAA urges AOA and ADS-B in SLSAs

It will be interesting to see if this results in changes to the SLSA version of the RV-12 that can also be applied to ELSA and E/A-B RV-12s.

Hoping

I am still hold out hoping the language about meeting the technical standards of the TSO'd equipment, or something to this language, like is accepted with required Mode C in experimentals, will be accepted for ADSB-Out.

It looks like there is a concerted effort by a number of groups to get this ironed out as identified in the link in post #1.

If it's like most of the things regulators do it will probably be resolved just before the compliance date. Faced with grounding a huge part of the GA fleet my guess is the FAA will have to back off to accommodate as many alternatives as possible.
