Has anyone got suggestions/pictures for the throttle and mixture connection for a Mattituck TMX IO-360 cold air induction(horizontal) Precision EX fule injection engine? Van's mixture cable seems to be about 5 inches too short.

Van's cable worked fine for my Silverhawk injection. TMX IO-360 M1B. I came through the firewall in the suggested location.

I think the mixture cable attaches to a bell crank assembly, that is mounted above and behind the servo. I believe the bell crank attaches to the mixture arm, on the servo, not the mixture control cable.
Good Luck,
Mahlon

I installed a YIO-360-M1B with Van's FWF kit. As usual, Mahlon's words are pure gold. Bolted to the sump, this is partial view of the mixture control bellcrank.

THANKS

I appreciate your replies. Some initial info that I received indicated that Vans bell crank would not work on this set up. It appears that is not the case. thank you

My -M1B setup looks just like Rick's, except I found it easier with my particular installation geometry to attach the cable rod end to the other side of the throttle arm. I made things more difficult than necessary by using a center-mounted throttle quadrant, which adds a further level of frustration! Some photos are here:

Control Cable Extensions

Robin,
Another way (much cheaper and easier) to extend the reach of your throttle or mixture cables is to use a cable extension from ACS. These come in a variety of lengths. I credit RV builder Dave Nelson with this tip. He mentions it in an earlier post on this site.

Here is the ACS page relating to these handy extensions.

You can see the extension on Dave's RV here.
