Intersection Fairing

Bayou Bert

Well Known Member
I just installed all wheel pants and fairings. The two intersection
fairings at the wing don't fit very well. All the others great.
I think one problem might be the hose clamp. I am going to the
hanger tomorrow to make sure it is inside the gear fairing.
But what did everyone else do about going over the wing seal?
All suggestions appreciated.

You cut a part of lower wing seal where it goes under the fairing. Not all seal just the bottom part of the rubber. It will fit.

I made new ones that fit. Just wax all the metal in the area and use molding clay to make the shape you want. Cover the clay with the epoxy soaked fiberglass pieces. Let dry and remove then trim the edges. Then fill in the lumpy areas with body filler and then paint..

I trimmed the rubber seal up to the intersection fairing and used some pliobond to glue it onto the gap seal.
