Question: Upper forward Fuselage Section: 35-17

Is there are reason to leave the F-01471 Upper forward fuselage skin off until later in the build? Like easy of panel installation or other installations. Or does it have to be in place to do the canopy?

Thanks

I left mine off, I know people have done it both ways and it works either way but much easier to wire and install electrics and avionics without it. The canopy can be completely finished except for any possible minor filing of the front edge where it meets the fwd skin and installation of those clips that go in once the canopy is put on "permanently" as those clips get ruined if you take the canopy off after they are installed.

I'm wrapping up a Quick Build and having that skin off would have helped with both the brakes and avionics install.

I haven't researched the impact but if it doesn't cause other issues I would leave it off until the last possible moment.
