Need help from my tailwheel brethren

I think I know the answer, but is it possible to remove the lower rudder fairing with the rudder in place? I did my fairing per the plans (section 12). My rudder is mounted with the cables connected and I?m going to have to remove the whole thing to get that fairing on. Not sure if it is supposed to come off during condition inspection time but I would think so. The tailwheel spring is in the way and I can?t see a wat to maneuver around it.

My 7 wont come off without removing the rudder. The plans had it to be pull riveted on. No reason to be removed I can see, but I did use screws.

To remove it entirely I have to remove the rudder

On my -14 I can drop the aft portion enough to work on the tail light wiring but if I need to take the fairing off, it means removing the rudder. Not a big deal, but once it is on and torqued and rigged you hate doing it.

What I figured, but I had to ask.

Thanks for the replies. This is not a job one person can easily do.
