Hello

In a recent alternator failure, my one of my two 28V step up transformers was damaged and no longer works.

Its an AmeriKing-550-12.

I believe AmeriKing is out of biz (and the FAA revoked their TSO), but when I call the number, I get a person who says they will repair the unit.

So, does anyone know ? It sounds like its just a person working form their garage.

If I can't get it repaired, any ideas what to replace it with ?

Perhaps its an easy bench repair ?

It won't be just a transformer; it's a DC to DC power supply. Might just be a power transistor failure, easy enough to fix if you can find replacement parts.

OK..thank you...I'll know more when I get it uninstalled.
