Do a search in the archives for a lot of information.

Two schools of thought -
Don't lock it at all.
Lock it and take the risk of someone busting your canopy for access.

There are quite a few different products and systems if you choose to lock it, many good discussion in the archives.
 
Thanks JonJay. I did do a search and like you said a lot of good information and thoughts. I was wondering since I?m a newbie if there was a preferred lock for those that fall into the yes lock category.
 
Check out the canopy lock made by a friend of mine Joe D'Albertanson. He evolved a hand hewn one I had cobbled together from junk in my garage into a pretty nice piece of kit.
