Default Truth in Advertising

Bill:
I noticed you neglected to inform potential buyers that this radio came out of Becker’s Cozy. They should have been made aware of the massive amount of transmit time this unit suffered as a result of his inability to “let go” of his years as a controller with Detroit TRACON. On the other hand, I had to install an autopilot with altitude hold after he retired because I stopped hearing “3 Tango POP, check your altimeter setting”.
Hope things are well in Lake Norman area. Spending the weekend at Lejeune with family.
Best,
Terry

Terry,

You are correct! Years ago I was over the top of Detroit's Bravo heading "ip north" to visit mom. Becker jumped on my "Experimental" call and this is what transpired:

ATC: Experimental one whiskey romeo, say type experimental.
1WR: RV Ninner
ATC: RV Ninner or RV Ninner Alpha?
1WR: Negative Alpha
ATC: Well, at least the little wheel is on the right end.

He then told me about his flying Cozy and Ken's Cozy under construction. Needless to say, I was a bit shocked. Then after Alex moved to CLT, and later Ken, I thought it was pretty cool that we put that past conversation together and I got to meet him.
