Anybody in the know would jump on Tom's offer. That's a good VAF family price on an awesome Garmin comm with high power transmit, standby monitoring and great built-in stereo intercom and CAN bus and RS232 data channels. $600? Are you kidding me?

I have one in a Christen Eagle and had some trepidation about using the built in intercom, but I can honestly say that it is the best intercom I have ever used. The Eagle is a very noisy plane and the previous radio was connected to a very pricey NAT intercom, but the one in this radio works better. I use the automatic squelch feature and never have to adjust it.

Just adding another vote in favour of the intercom... It's excellent. The spatial separation feature is nice as well, putting active in one ear and standby in the other when monitoring two frequencies (this is configurable if you don't like that idea).

And yet another vote for the built in intercom on the GTR-200. I've had mine installed almost a year now and it beats the pants off the PM3000 intercom I had.

Love it! (along with all the other cool features it has over my old King radio)

$600 is a STEAL for this radio.

In regards to Tom Powers (user name: Aviationone) offer to sell the GTR200 for $600.00, I responded to his request within moments of his post and did not hear back from him. He has since deleted his post offering the GTR200 for sale without comment.
