Default Spinner Hole Location

I have an "opaque" spinner. I suppose most of us do. The plans don't work straight up. Is the process mark the hole locations on the spinner plate, drill the holes, then use the magnet method to locate the spinner holes on the fiberglass exterior?

a bright light inside the spinner and nighttime, made it possible to mark the holes.

Thumbs up The magnet method works

I just helped helped a RV-7A builder with this step. The 7's spinner comes gelcoated as well now. We used the magnet method and it worked great.
