B&C SD-8 conflicts with tach generator

My 0320A1A had a tach signal generator screwed onto the threaded body at the end of the cam. I assume it was Vans, but I got the salvage project from the original builder. Anyway, the SD-8 dynamo has a space conflict with the signal generator for the tach. What tach sensor will work with the SD-8 and where do you get it ??...Larry

Larry, I used the SD-8 on my -3. There is a short tach cable that allows you to mount the tach gen remotely. Mine was p-clamped to the firewall. I purchased it from the Vans accessory catalogue as I recall. Mike

Same here, made a bracket that I mounted on the firewall to hold the transducer.
