I noticed that with the engine off and fuel lines connected the Andair boost pump makes a squealing noise. During the fuel flow test with the fuel servo line off and into a container (no back pressure) that it sounded normal for a pump. I thought that with the engine running that the squealing would diminish but not so at idle anyway. Is this normal for the Andair boost pump? I do not recall the Airflow Preformance ( I think that is the pump we had in our RV-10) boost pump making a sound like this. It sounds like a bypass valve or something.

Ron----I've heard of others using the Andair pump talking about noises like that. I think I would talk with Andy or Owen at Andair---possibly at Osh about it.
