Alternative to rubber hose canopy stops

My canopy skirt just touches the emp fairing and of coarse the lock handle hitting the seatback is unacceptable. But I just couldn't bring myself to use rubber hose. Carved some rubber block I had lying around. Added relief holes to soften the impact.

They fit snug but will probably use a few drops of super glue for insurance.
The pictures looked way better on my phone:p

That looks great! I started with 1/4 hose and after loosing 2 of them on the ramp somewhere... I moved up to a larger hose size that I had to stuff in there tight. Not nearly as elegant as your solution. Guess I'll have to look for some rubber material to make something like that. Thanks for the idea!

Revised and installed

Made another set. First set didn't have the slope of the bulkhead and ended up just a hair shy of stopping the canopy before the fairing. I know, I need to work on my photagraphy skills....

And the mess made drilling the rubber
