Are there any hints to pull a Cherrymax Rivet?

Highly recommend the cherrymax hand puller, G-29 I think is the model. Well worth the cost if you have more than a few to set. Other rivet pullers may work, but I had spotty results until I got the G-29. A few poorly set rivets in difficult to remove locations convinced me. It's also good on the ccr type rivets often used to retain nutplates.

Normal ATS or similar pneumatic puller running at 90psi pulls then fine. Keep the nose and grips cleaned and a little T9 sprayed now and again.

Set all ours in the 12's with ours without a single issue.

The rivet must sit tight and flat in the hole before you pull it. There's little tolerance for over and undersized holes, or a rivet that sits crooked in the hole. My ATS pneumatic puller struggled with them. I talked to the ATS rep at OSH who said their puller is not approved for Cherrymax rivets. But, he said if you make a little adjustment inside the nosepiece you can change how it pulls. I have placed hundreds with the ATS gun since then, at 60 PSI.
