Default Fuel smell

I installed the fuel vent from the back top of the tank, through the baggage wall, then down and out the belly. It also has the T with the small tube to the rivet like a static port. I also have my original vented cap installed.

I notice a fuel odor and more when Im near the vent area. If I get down close to the vent on the belly I can really smell gas. I recall another comment another builder posted about adding the vent and his wife commenting she could smell gas in their home as the hangar and home were attached.

I was just putting this out to see if others have similar experiences. Thanks
