Tachometer drive question

Charles in SC

Well Known Member
I am hooking up my tach which is Van's analog 2 1/4 model and the engine end is a cable about 10 inches long with a sensor that screws on the end of it. The problem is that the firewall causes the cable to have to make a sharp 90 degree bend and lays pretty hard against the firewall. This might not be a problem but I would like to find a better way if possible. Does anyone have a more graceful solution? Thanks in advance!

I will have to look harder maybe but I do not think there is but one place to attach it. The tach drive point is just above the right mag.

My fault....... I should have said.......

recess in the firewall is where you would mount the tach signal driver that hangs off of the end of the 12 inch extension.
