Default Gas cap gap

I am installing the Newton gas caps. In every picture I have seen the cap fills the hole fully, not so with mine. Is this normal? Have the sizes of the gas cap holes in the skin changed?

Disregard. I determined the issue. Vans has changed the opening of the gas cap hole in wings. The 7 now matches the 14. Which is a larger hole. I will be posting these Newton “deluxe caps” in the classified section.

Default Gas caps

Reply sent to PM but it appears you resolved the issue.
So for future builder, is there a 14 Newton cap and flange?
