Default Won't mate with built fuselage

The RV 6 wing spar is specific to the center section it was drilled to. If you get a completed RV6 fuselage there will be major fitting problems. I believe that the wing kit comes with the the F4 center section. If you have the center section that came with the wings and you get an unstarted 6 fuselage kit you are in business.

Steve is spot on. However, don't despair if you don't find the match drilled center section/spar before you talk with Wayne at Phlogiston. He has the experience and the tooling and can work through mismatched spar and center sections.
Call him first so you know what your getting into.
If you have the center section, all of this is for not as Steve said.

Also, it is possible to swap out the center section on a complete or partially complete fuselage. The amount of work will vary with how far along it is. Just be prepared to drill out a lot of rivets.

Default center section and a cnc

I bought a set of 6 wings from a fella a long ago in fallbrook ca, and the splice plates were not found or with the kit. I had a friend who worked at a machine shop throw the center section bulkhead on a ruby tipped cnc machine to plot all the holes and he made it into a program and his machine was as I was told accurate to 1 millionth of a inch. so if new spar is going into old fuse... if possible use the old plates and get new spars and use the cnc program to match the existing fuse. lots of work but building is a journey and need I say more.. btw... the plates turned up for my 6 wings and order is restored and I still have the program.
