They cost more, but they are worth it. Get the metal vents that seal well.

You can get them at Aerosport Products or Stein Air.

Will they fit the same place as the plastic ones without any surgery?

Default noisey vents

All of your airplanes must be quieter than mine. With the engine at full throttle and all of the air noise from going 170 knots i cannot hear any change in noise level whether they are open or closed. Of course I do wear my Zulu headset.

With Aerosport Aerovents if retrofitting the stock vans Naca with square mounting, when ordering just tell us you need the retro kit and we will send them with the vents. There is No Charge for these.
