One of my goals when building my RV-10,was to have a tangle free cord environment in my aircraft.
Having the Aerosport Centre console helped this a lot,but I still had to "train" the headset cords to come out the side when opening and closing the centre console.
My solution was to mount the Bose A20 controllers into the armrest.
using my Dremel,I cut out enough room for the controllers to push through.
Replacing the plastic tray under the armrest with some scrap .025 and using some hi-density foam , the controllers are now sandwiched into the armrest.
I have been flying with this for the last month and like how tidy the centre console has become. The arm rest is still very comfortable and I find the Bose controllers more useful. To remove the headsets is only a handful of screws to remove.
I have really enjoyed my Bose A20's in the RV-10 and receive many positive comments on how clear and comfortable they are from other pilots.
I regularly fly 3 hour plus legs and the comfort of the headsets makes this most enjoyable.
Robert Elborough at Bose Australia has been most helpful and supportive of any questions or parts I have needed.
