Transient Hangar Space near Monterey/Salinas?

Hi,

I'm in the middle of a Master's Degree Program through the Naval Postgraduate School, and will be in Monterey for a 2 week in-residence session from April 2 through the 14th in 2017. I live in Santa Rosa, just a little north of there, and was thinking of flying my RV-8 down to avoid traffic and maybe give my classmates some rides on our weekend. Does anyone from down in the Monterey or Salinas area have any hangar space I could use to stow the plane while I'm in school? If not, does anyone have suggestions for tie-down space? I'd prefer to leave it covered, but am open to options.

A year ago, Monterey Jet Center charged us $10/day for overnight parking with no other fees and they have 5 crew cars available.

Marina - OAR

Another public use airport nearby is Marina - OAR, just a few miles NE of MRY.

Used to be under US Army control when Ford Ord was active.

Since 1995 it has been a civilian, public use airport. You can look up the particulars, call the airport manager, and see if he might have any info of interest.
