Wing mounting question

Hello all
I am just about done riveting my bottom wing skins and starting to think ahead about mounting the wings on the fuse. Question can I mount the wings without ailerons and flaps and drill the rear spare (for squaring the wing and setting incidence) or should I have ailerons and flaps installed? Thanks Joe

Leave them off, they'll just get in the way. However, once you've drilled the rear spar, that is a good time to temporarily install the ailerons and flaps so that you can check for proper alignment, establish pushrod lengths, and install your aileron stops.

Good luck.

Joe, You could leave the ailerons on since they won't interfere with anything during install, but I would leave the flaps off for drilling and securing the aft spar bolt. The ailerons and flaps are pretty easy to install once the wing is mounted.
