Your "Never Again"

Thanks, Randy, for taking the time to document your experience and for sharing your methods for letting it happen "never again." I have visited your site many times, but I had never read that page until today. I believe there have been several NTSB investigations which end in "pilot flew into IMC' or "pilot failed to maintain control due to spatial orientation" while the underlying secondary cause may have been the GPS went on the fritz. Certainly, the pilot's brain should keep him/her out of IMC, but the point is that the investigator many times has no way of knowing whether or not the GPS bought the farm before the pilot did.
