Default Build log showing detailed cowl fitting with quarter turn fasteners

I'm trying to restart my project that has been dormant for 6+ years. I need to start fitting the cowl. I'm pretty bad with fiberglass and would really benefit from seeing how this is done. All the build sites that I used to reference seem to be gone, and I'm not having much luck finding new ones.

I'd love to find a site that show someone fitting a 7/9 cowl using quarter turn fasteners. What is the best way to find stuff like this nowadays?

Thanks for any help

Not terribly detailed, but I put a James cowl on my 9A with quarter-turn fasteners.

I used the Skybolt installation manual, and varied as needed. (I have a paper build log.)

Here is my build log, not sure it is detailed enough.

For Skybolt spacing I followed Don Jones' method discussed here.

There is another thread that had information by Don Horton on fitting the cowling but the images are no longer available.

Skybolt quarter turns on upper cowl of an RV-14A.

Here's the page:

I detail how I curved, positioned then match-drilled the scallops...

How I located the holes with a flashlight...

Then drilled the holes...

And inserted the grommet and fasteners...
