Lycoming introduced their EIS mag replaement back at OSH this year, but since then, I haven't seen any news or info on it. I may consider installing it, but the latest news was that there was no improved timing curve yet available for a 360. Can't find any technical info on it. Anyone hear anything more about this?

Osh 2019

I saw this at Osh 2019. I liked it because it does not run software but rather a Programmable Logic Device with the program burned in.

But in talking to the certification engineer, it does not self generate the electrical power, so needs a redundant power source, like a small battery.

PMags seem like a better option for experimental. JMHO.
