Titan 320/340LT Engine

Relentless

Well Known Member
At Oshkosh we put out an idea to build a really light-weight 320 as a direct competitor for the Rotax and Lycoming 233. Unfortunately, the 22lbs we cut out of the crank was simply to much to keep the strength needed to keep the engine reliable. Since I could not get it down below the 230lbs as intended I went back to the 340 and put all the light weight components. The result is a 244.6lbs, 180+ hp 340 that is a direct replacement for a 320 installation.

We are still working on light weight engine but it seems the only way to get there would be to implement all the ACE components. Cylinder, rods, pins, and pistons. Next years project..

340LT, ONLY 244LBS AND DROPPING, I know I can get about 5 more lbs. by putting ACE pistons and pins along with Hartzel lightweight starter.
