Phase 1 Test Area Advice

Im at that point where I need to work out the flight test area. Im based out of Aercountry, but dont have much flying experiance in this area. For those that are local, what did you use and what worked well? Also, what is a good airport about 125nm from Aerocountry that has ample RV activity and useful services?

I am based at Aerocontry and although I did not build my RV7 I did a great deal of transition training by flying out to Commerce 2F7. Very little traffic, nice long run way and cheap gas. I still go out and practice there.

There is a ton of RV activity going on at Aerocontry and lots of knowledge folks.
