Dumb question. Does anyone know off the top of their head if the MS 20257 Piano hinge material is anodized or corrosion coated in any way (stock from vans)... Thanks

None of the hinge material I've ever received from Vans has been treated in any way and needs to be treated for corrosion protection in some fashion...

Piano hinge

I do believe it is Anodized ( clear ) . You can see a little change in the surface color around the drilled holes when you dimple it .

Piano hinge

I have purchased the same hinge from Aircraft Spruce , the "P" in the MS # indicates Anodized finish , ( - Indicates none ) . Not sure if they stamp the "P" on the hinge .

Cowl hinge part number

Can anyone confirm that the MS20257P3 is the correct part number for the hinge holding the upper and lower cowling together on a RV6? I seem to be missing the drawings...
