Master cylinder seals

One master cylinder on the pilot side was leaking through the top seal. I have replaced the seals with vans kit.
Someone told me to just go buy nitrile seals next time I have a leak. These are supposed to be 5606 compatible. Any knowledge if this is correct?

Yes, that is correct. Nitrile is also known as Buna N.
