Default VAF acting strange in Safari web browser

Iíve used Safari to access VAF for years. About a month ago, after I finished reading a post and then clicked on the ďTodayís PostsĒ link at the upper left corner of the page to go back to the list of posts, I noticed the posts I had read didnít change from bold to regular type, indicating they had been read.

This continued to happen for several weeks, but a few days ago, the problem went away, and the posts I've read changed from bold to regular type. Today, the problem is back.

Anybody else experience this or have an idea of whatís going on? Iím using Safari 11.0.1 on a MacBook Air running OS Sierra v 10.12.6.

I notice if I use Firefox, the problem doesnít occur, but I usually prefer to use Safari.

Thanks,

Default logged out?

I've seen this when my browser has logged me out - check the top right corner to see if it says Welcome, rv9builder.

Hi Mickey,

Actually, I've been logged into VAF for months, and it says "Welcome rv9builder" at the top. But your post gave me an idea:

I logged out of VAF, shut down Safari, and rebooted my MacBook. (I can't remember the last time I shut down this computer, but I know it's been a very long time.) After restarting the MacBook, I opened Safari, logged back into VAF, and everything is back to normal!

Thanks for posting!
