canopy strut

Hi I went to close the canopy yesterday and it didn't want to close the last few inches I found that the left side strut had broken at the mounting eye
I have removed the strut and all is good now just have to try and find one here in Australia

I have broken two. I wish Van's would come up with struts that have metal ends instead of the plastic ones
