Inflight restart procedure

So I make a stupid mistake and run one of my tanks dry (could happen but not planning on it). My engine is an IO320. Hot restart is mixture idle/shutoff throttle ??, mixture to rich at first start. That?s sitting on the good earth. I think the first thing is switch tanks, 2nd aux fuel pump?, and 3rd ?????

Typically running a tank dry the prop will continue to "windmill".
Switching tanks and turning on the boost pump should be all that is necessary.

I'm with Mel.

I would run my small aerobatic tank dry first as a standard procedure on every cross country flight with the Hiperbipe. All you have to do is switch tanks and wait a second or two. The boost pump seemed to speed the relight process, but unless you do this at low altitude the time difference is not critical.

If equipped with a CS prop, you will get a RPM surge on the relight. Not a big deal in any event.
