I had previously posted an issue I'm having with a 'sticking' Moeller fuel gauge. It recently stopped moving as I added fuel, wouldn't move down right away as fuel burned off, and doesn't 'wobble' when fuel is below full tank in turbulence.
My SLSA is in for annual inspection and mechanic spoke to Vans who's Gus said it 'might' be a displaced magnet in the area inside the tank (not the magnet in the gauge itself (sealed in plastic).
So...just asking, as we feel our way forward...has anyone else experienced this and is it possible to 'fix' a magnet that may have slipped, without having to replace whole unit?
