With the new RV-7A motor mount temporarily installed on my firewall I was trying to determine where I was going to place the holes for my control cables. My Titan engine is on order with a FM-150 and Superior cold air sump. Originally I was planning on using the carb locations called out in dwg 19 or something close. Now though I see the elastomer pads are in that area so I?m looking for alternatives.
One option is to move the holes up higher into the firewall recess area but I don?t want to limit any future changes to a constant speed prop even though my current plan is to go with a 3 blade Catto. I can?t seem to find any pics of the engine protruding into this area. I?m wondering if any portion of the recess would be better than another area for the cable passthrough.
