One Firewall Pass through, possible interference

Simon Hitchen

I'd like to have one main firewall pass-through, question is can I route the sensor wires from the dynon EMS-120 though the same hole as the p-lead wires to the left and right Mag. The P-leads are 20 AWG shielded. Will there be any interference that may cause erroneous sensor readings?

Many thanks.

I've run all the D120 wires including shielded p-leads in a single firewall passthrough on an RV8 equipped with an IO-360 and Slick mags and no issues with crosstalk interference, the plane has been flying fine for 5 years now. Before that plane, I wired up an RV10 with the D100/D120 but separated the p-leads into a different firewall penetration only because the ignition switch was on the left extreme side of the panel and the D120 and all its sensor wires were in the right side of the panel.
