Oil pressure sensor orfice question ?

I just finished installing an .040" orfice in the AN fitting that goes to the oil pressure gauge. The line for the oil cooler comes out of the same casting of the rear case cover. Why is the oil pressure transducer with AN fittings and TS Flightlines silicone hose considered a greater risk than the oil cooler circuit ? Not a retorical question ; I hope to get educated.

How about close on risk - but one (the oil cooler) is essential for engine operation, the other (pressure sensor) is not essential.
